  • Foundation: How everything started

    2015 - Mid 2018

    Our journey began in August 2015, driven by the vision to pioneer 3D body scanning catering to the events space. Initially, started as a side project, we balanced it alongside our regular 9-5 jobs.

    By mid-2016, after intensive R&D and hardwork, we proudly launched our first 3D scanner, catering to event services and delivering instant 3D models.

    A pivotal moment arrived in 2017, igniting our foray into the fashion industry through an inquiry from Zalando on its challenge to manage ecommerce returns with our 3D body scanning solutions.

    This led us in the development of specialized software for 3D data analysis which laid the foundation for Treedy’s future, envisioning scalable solutions to the industry’s main challenges.

  • Evolution

    2018 - 2021

    2018 marked an important milestone in our history as this year we attracted the attention of industry giants such as Nike and Amazon, successfully deploying our custom scanning solutions to them.

    This year was also the year when our side hustle become a full-time project as myself and my co-founder quit out day-time jobs to commit full time to the company.

    In 2021, with the aid of a software engineer and five students form our R&D partner, VUB we started to intensify our R&D and unveiled advanced scanners at an affordable price point with AI capabilities.

    This accomplishment attracted strategy partnership and investment from Decathlon, leading to the development and integration of a specialized scanner interface into their customer app. This partnership helped us to deepen out understanding of in-store and customer journey dynamics.

  • From Concept to Market

    2022 - 2024

    Building on insights gained from our proof of concept with Decathlon, we developed a robust scanner interface to deliver a smooth and highly scalable customer experience.

    To enhance operational efficiency, we upgraded our processing algorithms, significantly reducing both processing time and associated costs. Simultaneously, we developed a powerful scraping engine capable of integrating with any e-commerce platform in just a few days, enabling seamless scalability and flexibility.

    In 2024, we reached a significant milestone with the release of the beta version of Fitsbest, our mobile application. Featuring integrated mobile scanning functionality, this launch marked a major step in expanding our reach and elevating the shopping experience for users. The beta phase provided valuable user feedback and tested our backend infrastructure to ensure its readiness for full scalability and deployment in 2025.
